In-Home Pet Sitting Visits

When you’re away from home, pet stays where they’re most comfortable: in their own space, where they can stay on their own routine. In-home pet sitting eliminates the stress of boarding kennels, the illness exposure of group care settings, and the unpredictability of marketplace sitters your pet has never met.

I’ve been caring for animals in the Hagerstown area since 2018. As a certified veterinary assistant endorsed by Dr. Morse Davis, DVM, I’m equipped to handle pets with medical needs, including diabetic pets requiring insulin injections, animals on multiple medications, and seniors with mobility challenges.

30-minute visit: $30.00

45-minute visit: $45.00

60-minute visit: $60.00

I always include medication administration at no additional charge, regardless of the complexity or number of medications.

Additional charges: Initial consultation free. Additional/second consults $25. Key exchange $15. Mileage charges may apply for locations outside the primary service area.

How much does pet sitting cost in Hagerstown, MD

I charge $30 for a 30-minute visit, $45 for 45 minutes, and $60 for a full hour. There are no holiday surcharges and no extra charge for giving your pet medication, regardless of complexity.

Are you a veterinary assistant?

Yes. I’m a certified veterinary assistant with decades of hands-on animal care experience, and I’m trained and certified in pet first aid. I’m also endorsed by Dr. Morse Davis, DVM, Dr. Mike Karg, DMV, Frederick Cat Vet, and Dr Davis with Kingsbrook Animal Hospital. Any of these veterinarians can speak to my qualifications.

Can you administer medication to my pet?

Yes, and at no extra charge. I’m experienced with oral medications, topicals, and injections, including insulin for diabetic pets. Medication administration is something I discuss in detail at the initial consultation so I understand your pet’s full routine.

Do you have experience with diabetic or special needs pets?

Yes. I regularly care for pets with complex medical needs, including diabetic cats requiring twice-daily insulin injections and animals on multiple medications. My background as a certified veterinary assistant means I’m trained to monitor for signs of distress and respond appropriately.

Do you offer overnight pet sitting?

No. I don’t offer overnight stays. My visits run up to one hour, and I schedule them to ensure your pet is never without care for more than 24 hours. I strongly recommend at least every 12 hours for most pets. I’m happy to discuss a visit schedule that keeps your pet comfortable while you’re away.

What happens if there's an emergency during a visit?

My first priority is your pet’s health and safety. If something unexpected happens, I’ll arrange immediate transport to your vet or an emergency clinic, and contact you right away. Before any service, I’ll ask you to sign a Veterinary Release Form so I’m authorized to initiate care if I can’t reach you in time.

Do you send updates while I'm away?

Yes. I know pet parents love hearing how their pets are doing. I send text updates and photos during visits so you can see how your pet is doing. We’ll talk about your preferences at the initial consultation.
